We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our Business Intelligence & Insight team. This role is critical in leveraging data to evaluate operational performance and environmental impact. From analysing large-scale ingredient-level datasets to evaluating KPIs related to food waste and nutrition, your insights will support strategic decision-making across our business.
Reporting to the Lead Analyst, you will use data to influence process improvements, efficiency, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) performance β with a focus on analytics, data storytelling, and actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Analyse complex datasets to quantify environmental metrics such as carbon footprint and food waste and monitor progress toward ESG targets.
- Support the development of robust KPIs and interactive dashboards to communicate performance insights across the organisation.
- Use data to evaluate and optimise menu nutritional composition, supporting health and wellbeing targets.
- Conduct impact analysis on training and development initiatives, with a focus on operational value and measurable outcomes.
- Provide clean, timely, and reliable datasets for reporting and forecasting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across procurement, food development, operations, HR, and sustainability to define data needs and build aligned reporting.
- Conduct data audits and validations to ensure quality and consistency.
- Engage with third-party data providers to integrate and validate external datasets.
Requirements
Experience & Background
- Degree or working experience in a relevant subject (e.g. Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Environmental Science, or similar).
- Experience in ESG, sustainability, or operational performance analytics is desirable but not essential.
Technical Proficiency
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QuickSight.
- Working knowledge of data tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R would be beneficial.
- Comfortable working with large datasets (from millions to billions of rows), with the ability to extract meaningful insights efficiently.
Analytical & Interpersonal Skills
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify patterns, root causes, and actionable insights from complex data.
- Skilled in data storytelling β clearly communicating findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrates business acumen by aligning analysis with organisational goals and priorities.
- Experienced in helping design meaningful metrics to measure environmental and social impact.
- Collaborative and confident when working with cross-functional stakeholders to develop context-driven insights.
- Detail-oriented and committed to data integrity, accuracy, and ethical use
