Security Officer – NRC Loughborough

We\’re currently recruiting a motivated Security Officer to help us ensure continual safety for Defence on a full time basis, contracted to 42 hours per week.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Patrol premises and manage alarm systems
  • Ensure schedules of checks are followed in accordance with Procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, emergencies, and abusive behaviour
  • Undertake verbal de-escalation and, as necessary, trained restrictive practices in a professional and legal manner, and in accordance with policy, risk assessments and SOPs
  • Complete daily reports of accidents and incidents
  • Aid and support all patients, visitors and staff when faced with difficult and distressing situations.
  • Escort staff, manage lost property and keys, and assist police as needed
  • Use of IT software in relation to security and car parking operations
  • Operate CCTV and security software (SIA licence required for CCTV)
  • Provide crowd or traffic control duties as required.
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, and risk assessments
  • Completing a range of cleaning duties including the use of manual, mechanical and cobotic equipment as per agreed schedules and as a rapid response service
  • Replenishing and cleaning of the retail unit and responding to the “assistance required” call system.
  • Remain flexible to work at other nearby units if needed
