Overview We\’re currently recruiting an ambitious Mobile Chef Manager to help us create exceptional food experiences for Chartwells on a part-time basis contracted to 25 hours per week. As a Mobile Chef Manager, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food that brightens our clients\’ and customers\’ days, within the market-leading food service company in the UK. You\’ll have opportunities to progress within a company that invests in its people, celebrates individuality, and rewards and recognises employees who go beyond the plate.We are looking for an enthusiastic person with great people skills to support in and around the area. We currently have 20 primary schools and 5 secondary schools, and the role would involve cooking, ordering, stock taking, weekly bookwork training, and supporting with activities in the area.Please note: This role is contracted to 43 weeks per year.Responsibilities Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customersOverseeing and implementing menu changesIdentifying opportunities to improve our food servicesListening and acting on customer feedback to consistently improve our food servicesSupporting with the creation of new menus and creative food conceptsRepresenting Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand imageMonitoring inventories to keep our kitchens well-stockedOverseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standardsComplying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulationsIdeal candidate Be passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer serviceHold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalentHave experience supervising a teamHave experience in a similar Chef roleHold a Food Hygiene certificateHave a flexible approach to workingAbout Chartwells Part of Compass Group UK&I, Chartwells is the leading provider of catering and support services to the education sector.
