We're looking for a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our catering team at Clive Barracks, supporting the delivery of fresh, high-quality meals to up to 300 service personnel across three busy kitchens. Working Hours
- Breakfast: 06:30-08:00
- Lunch: 12:00-13:15
- Evening Meal: 17:00-18:15
- Shifts: Early: 06:00-14:00, Late: 12:15-20:15, 1 weekend in 4
- 37.5 hours per week

About the Role
As a Sous Chef, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality meals across breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations across our three busy kitchens with a team of 10.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve delicious, high-quality meals
- Support the Head Chef with menu planning, ordering, and daily operations
- Maintain strict food hygiene and safety standards
- Manage stock, control waste, and ensure efficient use of resources
- Lead, train, and motivate junior kitchen team members
- Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient working environment
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a similar role (Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie)
- Computer-literate and confident using kitchen systems
- City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
- Valid Food Hygiene Certificate
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Passion for quality food and customer satisfaction
- Flexibility to work early and late shifts, including weekends on a rota
