ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.

We currently have a unique opportunity for experienced Health and Safety Advisors to join our newly awarded site, a greenfields site, working remotely in Merotherie, NSW.

Working with a well-regarded client, the successful candidate will work an even time 14 days on, 14 days off roster, working 10 hour days. Flights ex Sydney or Brisbane, accommodation and meals included. Locals are encouraged to apply on a drive-in, drive-out basis.

The Position

  • The continual improvement of our safety management system
  • Providing specialist safety advice and support to our operational teams
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal requirements
  • Driving regular and sustainable improvement in our safety performance
  • Conducting regular safety interactions
  • Ensuring safety compliance and supporting investigations

The Person

  • Prior experience in Safety Advisory positions, having held responsibility for delivering overall HSEQ support
  • Strong and decisive safety leadership skills with ability to engage stakeholders
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholder relationships, effectively bringing people along the site safety journey
  • Highly developed skills in communication, presentations and reporting
  • Certificate IV in WH&S
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (highly regarded)
  • Experience with Qld Coal Mining Safety Act and Regs (highly regarded)
