We’re opening a brand-new Costa Coffee at Glasgow Airport, and this is an exciting opportunity to be part of something new from day one. This is a fast-paced, customer-focused environment where speed, service and quality are everything. As an Assistant Manager, you’ll be the Store Manager’s right-hand person, running your own shifts and leading from the front. This is a hands-on role — you’ll be making coffee, preparing food, supporting the team, and ensuring every customer has a great experience before heading to the gate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Running shifts independently and confidently
  • Supporting the Store Manager with day-to-day operations
  • Delivering excellent customer service in a high-volume, fast-paced setting
  • Hands-on preparation of hand-crafted Costa coffee and food
  • Leading, motivating and supporting the team on shift
  • Maintaining speed, accuracy and quality during peak travel times
  • Helping build repeat custom in a location that isn’t immediately obvious

The Environment

Take-away only unit. Modern store with: 2 self-order kiosks, 1 till, 3 coffee machines. Customers are typically on their way to flights, so efficiency and friendliness are key.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong customer service and people skills
  • Experience in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment
  • Confidence, ambition and a hands-on attitude
  • Awareness and adaptability — this is a new opening, and we’re learning as we go
  • Someone who enjoys responsibility and leading a shift

Compliance & Checks

This role is airside, so the successful candidate must be able to pass: DBS check, Fire safety check, Airside pass & airside awareness course.
