About the role: We seek an inspirational, organized leader to oversee daily kitchen operations, including recruiting, training, and food prep. The Executive Chef will showcase culinary talents, develop staff, and improve satisfaction while managing budgets and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: Lead culinary production, quality, safety, team performance, and profitability. Create decorative food displays and develop menus with seasonal ingredients. Ensure freshness of ingredients and maintain product consistency. Research customer preferences and incorporate local flavors. Prepare and cook a variety of foods, demonstrating new techniques. Supervise kitchen staff and ensure compliance with health standards. Guide and monitor staff performance, safety, and sanitation. Business & Financial Acumen: Develop and implement business strategies aligned with company mission. Manage department expenses and develop control procedures. Analyze financial data to adjust plans and control costs. Customer Service: Create resident satisfaction through training and engagement. Ensure professional interactions and improve service quality. Handle guest issues and seek feedback for improvements. Team Management: Lead team meetings and set performance goals. Foster employee engagement and ensure fair treatment. Provide training, feedback, coaching, and support. Preferred Qualifications: A.S. degree or equivalent experience. At least 5 years of culinary management experience. Extensive catering and high-volume foodservice experience. Hands-on chef experience and knowledge of food trends. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety certifications preferred.
