HOSPITALITY CHEF BEDFORD SCHOOL Β£39,832

40 hours per week 52 weeks per year 5 days out of 7, flexibility required

Lodestone House, part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, is recruiting for an experienced Hospitality Chef to join the catering team at Bedford School .

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate chef to work within a prestigious independent school environment, delivering high-quality food and hospitality across a varied catering operation.

As Hospitality Chef, you will be responsible for the planning, preparation, cooking and presentation of food to a consistently high standard. You will work closely with the on-site leadership team to develop menus, support hospitality services and continually improve the food offer.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality food to company and client standards

Supporting hospitality services and delivering an excellent experience for customers and guests

Planning and implementing menu changes and new food concepts

Contributing creative ideas to develop and improve the food offer

Responding to customer feedback and identifying opportunities to improve food quality and service

Managing stock levels, ordering and waste to ensure efficient kitchen operations

Maintaining high standards of food presentation and quality

Supporting and supervising the kitchen team when required

Maintaining excellent standards of kitchen cleanliness and organisation

Ensuring full compliance with Food Safety, HACCP, allergen, hygiene and Health & Safety requirements

Representing Lodestone House professionally and maintaining high standards at all times

Working closely with the leadership team to support the wider catering operation

WHO YOU ARE An experienced Hospitality Chef with a strong professional kitchen background

Passionate about fresh, high-quality food and exceptional customer service

Experienced in hospitality, events or a similar high-quality catering environment

Confident creating and delivering varied menus and food concepts

Comfortable supervising and supporting a kitchen team

Strong knowledge of Food Safety, hygiene and Health & Safety requirements

Organised, self-motivated and able to work effectively in a busy environment

Creative with a genuine interest in developing food and service standards

Flexible in your approach to working across a varied catering operation

City & Guilds 706/1 & 2, NVQ equivalent or relevant professional chef qualification

Food Hygiene qualification
