We’re looking for a Mobile Multi-Skilled Engineer to support a high-profile national contract, delivering a first-class maintenance service across multiple sites. This is a field-based role, ideal for a proactive engineer who enjoys variety, autonomy and building strong client relationships.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring environments remain safe, compliant and fully operational, supporting both planned and reactive maintenance across a diverse portfolio.
About the RoleAs a Mobile Engineer, you’ll travel nationally to deliver a wide range of maintenance services across electrical, mechanical and building fabric systems. You’ll be responsible for keeping sites running efficiently, responding to issues quickly and ensuring minimal disruption to client operations. Working independently and as part of a wider engineering team, you’ll act as a key representative on-site, providing a professional, customer-focused service at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across multiple sites
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs across electrical, mechanical and building services systems
- Support minor installations, upgrades and project works where required
- Ensure all works are completed in line with health & safety and compliance standards
- Maintain accurate records and documentation using CAFM systems or company tools
- Build strong relationships with clients, providing updates and technical guidance
- Participate in on-call or call-out rota as required
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, efficiency and cost savings
- Proven experience in a multi-skilled engineering or FM maintenance role
- Strong fault-finding capability across electrical and mechanical systems
- Experience delivering PPM and reactive maintenance in a commercial environment
- Recognised qualifications (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent in electrical or mechanical discipline)
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally including Ireland.
- Good knowledge of health & safety and statutory compliance requirements
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to travel and support multiple sites
