About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant General Manager to join our team at a high-profile staff dining and hospitality site located near Victoria Station. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment that combines high-volume service with premium hospitality standards. You will support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the site, taking responsibility for operations, team leadership, and client engagement. The successful candidate will be passionate about great service, operational excellence, and leading by example.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in delivering excellent service across all food and hospitality areas
- Lead and supervise the front-of-house team to ensure smooth daily operations
- Manage staff schedules, training, and performance
- Maintain compliance with health and safety, food hygiene, and company policies
- Ensure high standards of presentation and customer experience at all times
- Build strong relationships with clients, customers, and staff
- Contribute to financial targets through effective cost control and efficient service
About You
- Previous experience in an Assistant Manager or similar supervisory role within staff dining, contract catering, or hospitality
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- A hands-on approach and a commitment to high standards
- Knowledge of food safety and health and safety legislation
