Job Summary
As a General Manager at the Baltimore Convention Center, you are responsible for maintaining a balance between floor supervision, administration, team member training and mentoring, and hosting/communicating with groups.
Strive to exceed guest expectations while executing "The Levy Difference".
Key Responsibilities
- Lead banquet and event operations, ensuring efficient setup, service, and breakdown.
- Maintain high standards for guest service, food quality, safety, sanitation, and alcohol compliance.
- Build strong relationships with clients, guests, team members, and venue partners.
- Manage labor, inventory, budgets, scheduling, forecasting, and operational reporting.
- Ensure proper use of company systems and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop managers and team members.
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment focused on accountability and performance.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, food service, retail, or event operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of labor and cost controls.
- Proficiency with business and operational technology systems.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
