We're seeking someone who is highly visible, hands-on, and passionate about creating outstanding workplace experiences. You will act as the face of the building, fostering strong relationships with clients, customers, and service partners while ensuring the environment consistently exceeds expectations. You'll have the autonomy to make decisions, solve problems proactively, and drive continuous improvements that enhance both service delivery and the overall customer experience. The Opportunity As Workplace Facilities Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operation, leading the delivery of critical workplace services with a strong focus on customer experience, operational excellence, and service innovation. You will oversee both cleaning and hard services, ensuring the workplace remains safe, compliant, welcoming, and operationally efficient at all times. Key Responsibilities Lead the daily delivery of workplace facilities services, including cleaning and hard FM. Act as the visible host and ambassador for the building, engaging regularly with customers and stakeholders. Build trusted relationships with client representatives and become their go-to contact for operational matters. Create a culture centred on service excellence, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the workplace experience. Manage specialist service partners and contractors, ensuring service standards, compliance, and performance expectations are achieved. Take ownership of health, safety, statutory compliance, and operational risk management. Respond quickly and effectively to issues, making informed decisions in the best interests of the client and workplace users. Analyse operational data and customer feedback to drive improvements and measure success. Lead, motivate, and develop on-site teams to create a high-performing and engaged service culture. About You We're looking for a confident and energetic facilities leader who enjoys being at the heart of an operation rather than behind a desk. You'll be naturally customer-focused, highly proactive, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced environment. We're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate: Proven experience managing both hard and soft FM services , with particular strength in cleaning and engineering maintenance operations. Experience within hospitality, hotels, premium customer environments, healthcare, leisure, retail, or other customer-centric settings. A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and creating welcoming environments. The ability to work autonomously and make decisions confidently. A highly visible leadership style with a hands-on approach to service delivery. Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build credibility quickly. Experience managing contractors, suppliers, and service partners. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. Strong understanding of health, safety, compliance, and operational risk. Experience leading and developing teams within demanding service environments.
