We’re looking for a Wedding & Events Sales Executive to take the lead on all things weddings at the iconic Knebworth House and Barns. This is a unique opportunity to own and grow a thriving wedding segment at one of Hertfordshire’s most celebrated heritage venues.
About the Role
As our Wedding & Events Sales Executive, you’ll be the go-to person for engaged couples—from the initial enquiry through to their big day. You’ll deliver an outstanding client experience, drive conversions, and maximise revenue by upselling packages and services.
You\’ll also contribute to the wider event sales strategy, support admin tasks, and work cross-functionally with our in-house operations, sales, and marketing teams. Expect to get hands-on with everything from wedding fairs and social media to venue showcases and client planning meetings.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Respond to all wedding enquiries and guide couples through the sales journey
- Host flexible and engaging showrounds (including evenings/weekends)
- Build strong client relationships to secure bookings and upsell services
- Create detailed proposals and accurate event documentation (BEOs)
- Lead and plan seasonal wedding showcases and promotional events
- Own our wedding social media content and help grow our digital presence
- Collaborate with the wider team to ensure seamless event delivery
- Track invoices, manage client records (Delphi/Salesforce), and ensure timely payments
- Attend industry events and build relationships with local suppliers
- Support Conference & Events sales where needed (social events, parties, etc.)
What We’re Looking For
We’re after someone who’s as enthusiastic about weddings as they are about spreadsheets. You’ll need to be proactive, well-organised, and naturally personable—able to manage multiple clients and deadlines with confidence and warmth.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in wedding or event sales (heritage or hospitality venue preferred)
- Outstanding communication skills—written, verbal, and visual

- Skilled in CRM/event software (Delphi, Salesforce, etc.) and Microsoft 365
- Strong social media savvy (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook)
- Creative thinker with a commercial mindset
- Calm under pressure, a team player, and genuinely motivated by client satisfaction
