Pay & Hours

- 1 weekend in 4 (on a 2-week rotating rota)
- Early shift: 06:30 – 14:00
- Late shift: 11:00 – 20:00
- Meal service times:
- Breakfast – 07:00 to 08:30
- Lunch – 12:00 to 13:30
- Dinner – 17:30 to 18:30

About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our friendly catering team at Kendrew Barracks.
You’ll play a key role in delivering fresh, high-quality meals for service personnel across breakfast, lunch, and dinner, while supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve delicious, high-quality meals
- Support the Head Chef with menu planning, ordering, and kitchen operations
- Maintain strict food hygiene and safety standards
- Manage stock control and minimise waste
- Lead, train, and motivate junior kitchen team members
- Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient working environment
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a similar kitchen role (Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie)
- Computer literate and confident with kitchen systems
- City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
- Food Hygiene Certificate
- Team player with great communication skills
- Passion for quality food and customer satisfaction ❤️
- Flexibility to work early and late shifts, including 1 weekend in 4
