Overall purpose of the role
The Event Planner plays a key role in delivering seamless events, from conferences and exhibitions to corporate dinners, by collaborating closely with clients and the catering team.
This role ensures exceptional service from initial planning through to final delivery, with a strong focus on precision, communication, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with corporate clients to understand goals, audience, and catering needs.
- Advise on menus, room layout, and logistics.
- Prepare event proposals, function sheets, and floorplans.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols for large-scale events
- Provide transparent cost estimates and ensure adherence to budgets.
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to optimise quality and cost.
- Identify and execute upsell opportunities
- Manage contracts, deposits, and invoicing in line with Compass policy.
- Serve as the main point of contact throughout the event lifecycle.
- Ensure flawless execution through proactive problem-solving.
- Conduct site visits and post-event evaluations to drive continuous improvement.
