Chef – Sterling Lines (ESS – Compass Group)
Location: Sterling Lines
Pay Rate: £17.15 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Full-time, site-based
About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Chef to join our catering team at Sterling Lines. You’ll prepare and serve fresh, high-quality meals in a structured military catering environment, supporting consistent food standards and excellent service for Service Personnel.
Working Pattern
Monday – Thursday: 10:00 – 18:00
Friday: 07:00 – 14:30
Meal Service Times
Breakfast: 07:00 – 08:00
Lunch: 12:00 – 13:00
Evening Meal: 17:00 – 18:00
What We’re Looking For
✅ Previous experience in a similar chef or catering role – essential
Relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) – desirable
Strong knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety
Team player with a positive, reliable approach
