Are you an experienced grounds professional ready to step into a leadership role? We’re looking for a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to lead our team and ensure our outdoor spaces are maintained to the highest standards of safety, presentation, and care.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supervising and supporting grounds maintenance staff, including work allocation and scheduling
- Delivering on-job training, performance feedback, and promoting safe working practices
- Overseeing routine and seasonal tasks such as grass cutting, hedge maintenance, planting, leaf clearance, gritting, and snow clearing
- Inspecting sites to maintain high standards and identify issues such as damage, pests, or disease
- Ensuring safe use, maintenance, and availability of tools, machinery, and materials
- Planning work around weather, seasonal demands, and site priorities
- Completing work records, inspections, risk assessments, and toolbox talks
- Liaising with management and stakeholders on grounds maintenance requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping
- Supervisory or team-leading experience (preferred)
- Good knowledge of horticulture and grounds maintenance practices
- Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
- A hands-on, solution-focused approach
- Valid UK driving licence
- Knowledge of health & safety legislation (desirable)
