About the Role
The Goods In & Out Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods, ensuring all deliveries are quality‑checked, accurately documented and stored correctly.
The role supports production by maintaining stock accuracy, full product traceability and compliance with health & safety, quality and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Goods In & Out team to ensure deliveries are received, checked, stored and dispatched accurately.
- Quality‑check all incoming deliveries and verify them against delivery documentation.
- Maintain accurate stock records, inventory and full product traceability.
- Ensure correct stock rotation using FIFO/FEFO principles.
- Pick and issue materials in line with production requirements.
- Carry out stock checks and investigate discrepancies, wastage or stock loss.
- Support production by ensuring materials are available to meet daily operational targets.
- Complete all warehouse documentation accurately and within required time‑scales.
- Maintain compliance with GMP, quality, food safety and hygiene standards.
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing Health & Safety policies and PPE requirements.
- Report quality, stock or operational issues promptly to the Warehouse Manager.
- Work collaboratively across departments and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
