We are looking for talented and dedicated Events Team Leaders to join our events team across our Bristol venues. This role is key to supporting the delivery of a wide range of events across our core sites, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer and client experience. Flexibility is essential for this role, as events take place across evenings, weekends and varying shift patterns.
Place of Work: M Shed, Bristol Museum and Art Gallery, City Hall and Create
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of events across the four Bristol City Council Core Venues
- Provide hands on operational support for live events
- Act as a point of contact for clients before, during and after events
- Lead, support and supervise a small team of Customer Service Assistants
- Coordinate and oversee event set up, live event operations and breakdown
- Support and contribute to team meetings and event briefings
- Ensure high standards of customer service are delivered at all times
- Support retail and bar operations when required
- Follow all health and safety, food safety and venue procedures
- Work flexibly including evenings and weekends to meet business needs
Pay and Contract:
- Hourly rate of £13.21
- Minimum Guaranteed Hours contract of 10 hours per week
The Ideal Candidate:
- Confident and professional when dealing with customers and clients
- Able to demonstrate leadership skills and support team members effectively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
- Keen to learn and develop into the next role within events or hospitality
- Basic computer literacy including email, Word and Excel
- Flexible and able to work evenings, weekends and varied shifts as required
