The Role

As Chef Manager at IBS Brecon, you will take full ownership of the catering operation, combining strong operational leadership with a hands-on approach in the kitchen. This is an active role where you will lead from the front, supporting food production and service while ensuring efficient, compliant day-to-day operations. This position offers a strong work-life balance, with a predominantly Monday to Friday schedule. Flexibility is required to support events and functions, including occasional weekends, with overtime paid for hours worked beyond 40 per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading, motivating, and developing your team to deliver excellent food and customer service
  • Taking a hands-on role in a busy kitchen, supporting production and service as required
  • Managing budgets, stock control, ordering, and operational planning
  • Monitoring stock levels and coordinating orders across service points
  • Completing weekly and monthly accounts accurately and on time
  • Conducting internal audits and ensuring full compliance with company policies and legislation
  • Reviewing KPIs with senior management and driving continuous improvement
  • Maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene and Health & Safety
