What you’ll be doing
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Casual Kitchen Porter to join our dedicated catering team at Twycross Zoo. As a Casual Kitchen Porter, you will contribute to a passionate and friendly team working in a fast‑paced environment to maintain the kitchen areas to the highest levels of cleanliness. Purpose of the role
- Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchens and associated working areas.
- Ensure all pots, pans, utensils and crockery are cleaned to the highest standard.
- Deep clean fridges, ovens and storerooms to maintain sanitary and kitchen safety standards.
- Work with and take direction from the chefs.
- Assist with basic food preparation.
- Transport food and equipment between the on‑site kitchens and storage areas.
- Ensure the correct use of all machinery and equipment.
- Represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image.
- Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
- Comply with Health & Safety regulations.
