Senior Sous Chef

Eurest UK – UBER | London
Salary: Β£40,000 per annum
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
(Once per month, Thursday finish at 5:30pm)

Eurest UK is recruiting an experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our team at the UBER site in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven, hands-on chef to work in a fast-paced, high-volume contract catering environment with an excellent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
  • Act as second-in-command, leading the kitchen team with confidence and professionalism
  • Lead, train and motivate the brigade, driving performance and development
  • Ensure consistent food quality, presentation and portion control at all times
  • Oversee food safety, hygiene and full compliance with all H&S regulations
  • Manage wastage and support effective stock control
  • Take full responsibility for kitchen operations in the Head Chef\’s absence
  • Support menu development and successful implementation
  • Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, organisation and teamwork
  • Drive discipline, standards and positive kitchen culture

About You

  • Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or strong Sous Chef ready to step up
  • Background in contract catering within a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop junior chefs
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene and health & safety compliance
  • Organised, calm under pressure and passionate about delivering high-quality food
