Play a pivotal role in leading a skilled Soft FM team at Newark General Hospital. Delivering high-quality, responsive services that meet patient, client and business expectations while driving value, compliance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of all soft services, ensuring high standards and a great customer experience.
  • Drive efficiency and continuous improvement to meet performance and budget targets.
  • Inspire, manage and develop teams, overseeing rotas, absence, performance reviews and training.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety legislation.
  • Manage service quality, audits and KPIs, resolving issues and driving improvements.
  • Identify and manage operational risks, supporting business continuity and emergency planning.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to support service excellence.
  • Produce clear, accurate reports and maintain compliance documentation using CAFM and MS Office.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience managing soft services within a facilities or hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management capability.
  • Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations.
  • Experience managing budgets and delivering operational efficiencies.
  • Confident user of MS Office and CAFM systems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

  • Experience managing senior third-party relationships.
  • Retail or facilities management background.
