We are now looking for a Product Owner to join our Back of House Technology team.
The Role
As Product Owner, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering product solutions within a cross-functional squad. You will own the product backlog, set priorities, and ensure your team is focused on delivering measurable value aligned to business and operational outcomes.
Working within a product-led, agile environment, you will collaborate closely with Engineering, Architecture, Business Analysis, and key stakeholders to translate strategy into deliverable outcomes and continuously improve product performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Ownership & Roadmap
- Define and communicate product vision aligned to wider technology and business strategy
- Maintain a clear, outcome-driven roadmap, adapting based on insight and performance
- Ensure all work contributes to measurable business and operational goals
- Backlog Management & Prioritisation
- Own and prioritise the product backlog to maximise value and impact
- Balance customer needs, operational efficiency, risk, and technical sustainability
- Ensure a steady pipeline of well-defined, delivery-ready work
- Discovery & Insight
- Work with stakeholders to understand user needs and operational challenges
- Lead discovery activities to validate problems and shape effective solutions
- Translate insights into clear requirements and success measures
- Delivery Leadership (Agile)
- Provide day-to-day direction to the squad, ensuring clarity of priorities and outcomes
- Participate in agile ceremonies and drive effective, iterative delivery
- Work with engineering to ensure realistic, transparent delivery plans
- Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary contact for product-related decisions and communication
- Build strong relationships across business and technology teams
- Clearly communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs
- Tribe Alignment & Dependencies
- Collaborate with other Product Owners to manage cross-team dependencies
- Align squad delivery with wider tribe priorities and roadmap
- Support planning, governance, and delivery forecasting
- Risk, Controls & Service Health
- Ensure solutions meet security, data, and operational requirements
- Balance innovation with reliability and technical sustainability
- Use live service insights to continuously improve product performance
