What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Managing all day‑to‑day stores operations, including equipment issue, return, maintenance, and record‑keeping.
  • Overseeing PPE, technical kit, and safety equipment, ensuring all items are fit for purpose and compliant.
  • Conducting maintenance checks, servicing, and turnaround of equipment.
  • Managing inventory, stock control, purchasing, and budget tracking.
  • Supporting carriage of equipment plans, clothing systems, and asset life cycle management.
  • Supervising groups during kit issue and providing guidance on equipment use and care.
  • Maintaining COSHH and POL stores in line with legislation.
  • Supporting risk management, safety reporting, and compliance with Total Safety Directives.
  • Assisting with training delivery and wider unit activities where required.
  • Acting as a key link between internal teams and stakeholders.

About You:

  • Experience in stores, logistics, or technical equipment management.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety and compliance processes.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident working in a hands‑on, operational environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to support and guide others.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • First Aid (16hr Outdoors) – Essential.
  • Enhanced DBS – Essential.
  • Willingness to complete required training (e.g. PPE, MTB Maintenance).
  • SIA / technical or outdoor qualifications (desirable).
  • D1 driving licence (desirable).
