Director of Sales – Kents Hill Park, Milton Keynes – Full Time / Permanent

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a sales culture for Kents Hill Park, acting as the sales ambassador demonstrating expertise and motivation.
  • Source and grow training, day delegate, 24‑hour conference, corporate, association & religious group business through your account portfolio and work with the wider TVC Sales Team & Lime Venue Portfolio (LVP).
  • Manage the on‑property Sales Executive day‑to‑day, ensuring targets and KPIs support overall sales performance.
  • Participate actively in the venue's sales strategy meetings.
  • Update and own the sales and marketing plan in conjunction with the GM.
  • Be the visible sales leader within your venue.
  • Communicate with your GM daily regarding activities.
  • Achieve personal key performance indicators and objectives.
  • Engage fully with the TVC sales and marketing plan and the LVP sales activity calendar.
  • Be based at your venue unless on an appointment or regional activity.
  • Review status change reports daily and act on relevant bookings.
  • Work with the marketing team to deliver the sales, marketing and communications plan across agreed key segments.
  • Represent Kents Hill Park & The Venues Collection at industry events, exhibitions, or partnership events.
  • Support the Sales Office Manager with running conversion weeks and regular focus for the re‑active on‑property sales team.
  • Support the Sales Office Manager with "Sales" training for the on‑property re‑active team to ensure confidence in upselling techniques, showrounds and conversions.
  • Attend relevant internal, external and company sales meetings.
  • Undertake or assist with special TVC projects as needed.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Natural confidence, high drive, focused and ambitious.
  • Proven track record of developing and winning new conference, event, and corporate business.
  • Track record of winning new customers, retaining and growing existing customers.
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals – passionate about delivering the numbers.
  • High motivation for achieving sales.
  • Positive and effective team player, able to operate at senior level and contribute to overall leadership team activity.
  • Prior experience in the hotel/hospitality sector with account management and new business development.
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently with minimal supervision – self‑motivated and committed.
  • Will be required to travel to all TVC properties, possibly with overnight stays.
