The opportunity for a senior commercial leadership role in healthcare. This role is for a proven healthcare commercial and sales leader who thrives on complex opportunities, senior stakeholder engagement, and high value growth.
As Director of Sales within Healthcare, you will be accountable for delivering sustainable revenue growth across the healthcare sector through the leadership of a high-value sales and bid strategy. You will operate at the sharp end of growth, shaping market positioning, owning the healthcare pipeline, and leading major bids from first engagement through to contract award and mobilisation handover. Reporting to the Growth Director, you will act as a trusted commercial partner to senior stakeholders and healthcare clients, strengthening client relationships and positioning the organisation as a market leader within healthcare.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Driving healthcare growth: Own and deliver healthcare sales growth through a clearly defined pipeline strategy, driving income generation against agreed revenue and margin targets.
- Identify, qualify, and convert strategic healthcare opportunities aligned to organisational growth priorities.
- Shape and deliver long-term healthcare growth plans aligned to wider business strategy.
- Senior client leadership: Build and maintain trusted, senior-level relationships with healthcare clients and decision-makers.
- Act as the commercial lead for priority sales opportunities, retention bids, and complex negotiations.
- Represent the organisation as a credible, senior partner within the healthcare sector.
- Major bid leadership & governance: Lead all major healthcare bids, ensuring robust governance, commercial rigour, and compliance.
- Set the standard for bid quality, win themes, and value propositions.
- Ensure submissions are compelling, consistent, and clearly differentiated.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Growth, Solutions, Operations, Finance, and Mobilisation teams to develop deliverable, competitive solutions.
- Ensure seamless handover from contract award into mobilisation and operational delivery.
- Market insight & innovation: Act as a subject-matter leader within healthcare, using market insight, data, and client intelligence to inform sales strategy.
- Shape differentiated value propositions and influence future service development.
- Leadership & team development: Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing healthcare sales and bid team. Set clear performance expectations, coach for success, and foster a collaborative, commercially focused culture.

- Deep understanding of healthcare sector dynamics, client expectations, and regulatory frameworks.
- A collaborative leadership style, with experience managing teams within matrixed organisations.
- Confidence presenting and engaging at senior and board level.
