Location: Southbank Centre, London, SE1 8XX
Rate of Pay: £35,000 per annum
Working Pattern: 40 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days
About the role: This role combines event operations support with a small amount of administrative coordination. Working closely with the Senior Events Advisor, you will gain hands-on experience across the full event delivery process while helping to keep operations organised and running smoothly. The position is designed as a development opportunity for someone looking to build a career in event operations. You will be involved in both the practical and administrative aspects of event delivery, with ongoing support and guidance from the wider team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the planning, coordination and delivery of events.
- Take a proactive, operational role in the planning and execution of events, being actively present on-site to coordinate logistics, support set-up and service delivery, and ensure a seamless guest experience, with a focus on hands-on involvement rather than administrative tasks.
- Assist with event administration, scheduling and documentation.
- Shadow the Senior Events Advisor to gain operational experience and insight into event delivery.
- Help manage event logistics, supplier coordination and event records.
- Support communication with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with operational duties on event days, including setting up meeting rooms, preparing refreshments, moving equipment and trolleys, and supporting the day-to-day running of events.
- Maintain accurate event records, reports and administrative systems.

- You'll be a hands-on operator who enjoys being on-site, ensuring events run smoothly from start to finish.
- Is comfortable with a hands-on operational role as well as administrative responsibilities, including making coffee, setting up meeting rooms and supporting event delivery.
