This is a great opportunity to join the Compass Group Internal Audit team, a small high-profile team. The role will be based in our Chertsey head office and will report to the Group Head of IT Audit. Working closely with the Group and Regional IT teams and management, you will be responsible for delivering the Group IT audit plan and providing support and guidance on IT risks and controls. International travel is anticipated to be in the region of 20-30%.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivery of IT internal audits both locally across all regions that we operate in and at Group level.
- Drafting high-quality internal audit reports with concise and practical recommendations.
- Developing strong working relationships with local IT management teams and stakeholders.
- Supporting the risk assessment process and annual audit planning process.
- Continuous improvement of internal audit methodology.
- Providing thought leadership in the areas of IT risk and controls.
Skills and Capabilities
- Self-starter with the ability to lead and to work independently and engage with teams at all levels in the organisation.
- Technically competent and confident in delivering information security audits as well as audits across the technology stack, for example at the infrastructure layer and network layer.
- Strong analytical skills, with strong risk awareness and understanding of processes and controls. Data analytics experience desirable.
- Commercially competent and ambitious.
- Ability to translate and communicate technical or complex ideas in a simple and concise manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, with the ability to influence at all levels, as is the ability to function effectively in teams.
- Fluency in more than one language would be beneficial.
Education and Experience
- CISA qualified. Other qualifications related to IT audit and security such as CISSP, CRISC beneficial.
- Experience working within an internal audit department for large organisations and/or IT assurance in a major accounting firm.
- Good working knowledge of SAP is desirable.
- Experience in a consumer-focused business would be advantageous.
- Experience in delivering integrated audits desirable.
- Experience in using data analytics and visualisation tools desirable.
- Excellent PC Skills (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Electronic audit work papers, etc.).
