Deputy Manager in Glasgow City Centre, Β£32,364, 40 hours per week, overtime paid.

We are recruiting a Deputy Manager to join our operation in Glasgow, supporting a high-profile, hospitality-led contract. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong hospitality or Banqueting background to work in a fast-paced, premium environment. The site delivers a blend of fine dining hospitality, retail and staff dining, with all teams working together to deliver exceptional service.

The role involves supporting the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the operation, leading both front-of-house and hospitality delivery. This is a hands-on role where everyone gets involved, and flexibility is essential. The site operates Monday to Friday with no weekends. Core service covers breakfast, lunch and coffee shop, with hospitality events regularly taking place. While the kitchen closes at 4pm, this role can involve evenings.

Key responsibilities:
  • Supporting the smooth running of a busy contract serving approximately 1,500 covers per day.
  • Delivering high-end hospitality and fine dining events, including plated service and banqueting.
  • Supporting retail and hospitality sales, with retail turnover averaging Β£3-4k per day and hospitality turnover Β£8-10k per month.
  • Overseeing a fully licensed daytime operation, including bar set-ups and service.
  • Leading and supporting FOH and hospitality teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Managing compliance, audits and standards, including independent monthly audits.
  • Using Nexus, Assure, MS systems and SharePoint.
  • Supporting small and large-scale events, including flagship annual events generating significant revenue.
  • Acting as a visible leader on site, thinking on your feet and responding quickly to operational needs.
About you:

We are looking for someone with a strong hospitality or Banqueting background, ideally from a premium or fine dining environment. Experience in banqueting and high-end hospitality is essential.

  • An experienced hospitality manager or deputy manager, ideally within contract catering or premium hospitality.
  • Confident delivering fine dining, banqueting and event-based hospitality.
  • A strong team player who leads by example and supports across all areas.
  • Comfortable using multiple systems and managing compliance and audits.
  • Organised, proactive and able to think quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible with working hours and happy to support evening hospitality when required.
Additional information:
  • Monday to Friday operation, no weekends.
  • No on-site parking - located in Glasgow city centre, approximately 6 minutes from the nearest station.
  • Fully licensed daytime operation.
  • No bonus scheme attached to this role.
