Job Introduction
General Catering Manager – Leeds
Up to £40,000 per annum (DOE)
Generally Monday to Friday however, weekends will be required for events
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced General Catering Manager with a culinary background to join our team in Leeds.
You will lead and inspire a team, delivering outstanding service to both staff and customers. In this role, you will be responsible for motivating your team to perform at their best while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. With strong commercial awareness and leadership skills, you will drive sales, maintain high standards, and build strong client relationships to meet and exceed expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple outlets and events, ensuring seamless operations.
- Adhere to all company and client Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations across all service areas.
- Complete, update, and manage all necessary Food Safety and Health & Safety documentation.
- Lead and track the completion of mandatory training for all team members.
- Implement and promote company profit protection procedures.
- Manage stocktaking processes effectively to minimize waste.
- Actively upsell and demonstrate strong product knowledge to enhance customer experience.
- Handle business finances responsibly.
- Oversee food preparation and production, ensuring all offerings meet brand standards.
- Ensure marketing materials are up to date and aligned with company branding.
- Analyse and manage unit costs, monitor gross profit, and maintain accurate financial records.
About You:
- Proven experience in a similar Catering Manager role, ideally within contract catering.
- Experience managing multi-outlet operations.
- Strong background in high-volume food service environments.
- Financially savvy, with expertise in stock control and budget management.
