Glyndebourne Opera House, Sussex, is one of the world’s iconic cultural venues, renowned for its opera, dining, and summer picnics. We offer high-quality hospitality across restaurants, bars, private dining spaces and outdoor catering. We are recruiting a Restaurant Manager to lead the front-of-house team in the restaurant led by Chef Steve Groves for the Summer Opera Festival, running from May to August 2026.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations during the Summer Opera Festival (May–August 2026).
- Manage and support front-of-house staff to deliver excellent service standards in a high-profile, fine-dining environment.
- Handle guest enquiries and feedback and work closely with kitchen and events teams to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Lead a team in the restaurant led by Chef Steve Groves.
- Maintain flexibility with hours, including weekends, as required by the festival.
Qualifications
- Experience in front-of-house leadership within hospitality or fine dining.
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and inspire a team.
