What you'll be doing:

  • Café Manager - Penzance
  • £31,000 per annum
  • 5 out of 7 days
  • 40 hours per week

Simple moments, made special. Great coffee. Freshly baked pastries. Proper food done well. Taste Café is all about creating those small, everyday moments people look forward to a quick coffee that turns into a catch-up, a bite to eat that hits the spot, a space that feels easy, comfortable, and just right. Set within a busy retail environment, this is a café with pace but also personality. A place that feels local, welcoming, and worth coming back to.

The Role:

If you've run a café, retail unit, or fast-paced food environment this is your chance to make it your own. We're looking for a Café Manager who brings energy, sets the tone, and knows how to turn a busy café into a place people genuinely enjoy every time they visit. You'll lead from the front, build a strong team, and keep everything running smoothly from the morning coffee rush to the last clean-down of the day.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Running the café day to day keeping things smooth, organised and on point
  • Leading and developing a team that delivers great service (and enjoys doing it)
  • Keeping standards high across food, coffee and presentation
  • Managing stock, performance and the overall operation
  • Creating a space that feels warm, relaxed and welcoming
  • Driving consistency - because the little details matter
  • Making sure Health & Safety is always spot on

About You:

If you've run a café, retail unit or fast-paced food environment, you're perfect for this role. You'll also be:

  • Someone who leads from the front and sets the pace
  • Big on people - both your team and your customers
  • Organised, proactive and calm under pressure
  • Passionate about good food, great coffee and doing things properly
  • Comfortable owning performance and making things better

Why This Role:

This isn't just another café job. It's a chance to shape a space that people come back to - for the coffee, the food, and the atmosphere. A place that feels part of the community, not just somewhere to pass through. You'll have real ownership, support from a wider business, and the opportunity to build something that actually feels like yours.
