Job Introduction
Chef – Full-Time
Location: Nayland House Care Home, Colchester
Salary: £15 per hour
Shift Pattern – 4 days out of 7 – 7am to 5pm
We\’re currently recruiting a dedicated and passionate Chef to join our team at Nayland House Care Home in Colchester. This is a full-time position contracted to 40 hours per week, working 4 days out of 7 (Monday to Sunday), with morning and weekend shifts required.
As a Chef, you\’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals that brighten the days of our residents. What you\’ll be doing:

• Preparing and serving delicious, high-quality meals that delight our residents
• Leading and supporting menu planning and implementation
• Listening to and acting on feedback to continually enhance our food offering
• Creating new menus and contributing fresh food ideas
• Maintaining a positive brand image and representing our values
• Managing stock levels and kitchen inventories
• Ensuring all hygiene and food safety standards are met
• Overseeing kitchen cleanliness and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations

What we\’re looking for:

• A genuine passion for great food and excellent service
• Experience in a similar Chef role
• Strong leadership and team supervision skills
• A valid Food Hygiene Certificate
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and early mornings
