Café Manager

Location: Churchill War Rooms, London

Salary: £33,826 per annum

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent, 5 over 7 days

We are currently looking for an experienced supervisor or assistant manager with a background in hospitality or contract catering to join us as our Café Manager at the iconic Churchill War Rooms, located in the heart of London. As the Café Manager, you will lead the café operation on site, overseeing the day-to-day operations and consistently delivering a high standard of service to all guests.

You will be supported by an experienced General Manager to deliver outstanding customer service and motivate the onsite team.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly
  • Supervise a team within the café, creating a positive environment where the team feels welcomed and supported
  • Use the till, take orders, and receive payments
  • Complete weekly finance tasks and assist the General Manager with any duties and queries
  • Assist with café rotas following the General Manager's guidelines
  • Place orders for stock to maintain correct stock levels
  • Delegate where necessary and ensure the team is always proactive
  • Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
  • Comply with Health & Safety regulations

  • Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment
  • Good communication skills with a focus on great customer service
  • Team player with a can-do attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Outstanding communication skills with guests, staff, and clients
