We are recruiting a dedicated Switchboard operator to ensure the smooth running of operations in Healthcare on a part‑time basis (24 hours per week). Key Responsibilities
- Receive and assist callers with their requests and/or complaints in an appropriate and professional manner consistent with the Trust’s high standards of care.
- Record details of requests and/or complaints, check information, and provide the caller with a task ID and expected response time.
- Contact service providers and allocate tasks to nominated officers, giving clear, concise and timely information.
- Update and maintain the Helpdesk database, ensuring all details are clear and concise, updates are recorded, and records are closed once tasks are completed.
- Provide a 24‑hour monitoring and response service for the Trust’s alarm system (fire, gas, pharmacy and lifts), ensuring correct procedures are initiated on activation.
- Maintain communications with service providers to track tasks and address inquiries regarding progress efficiently.
- Assist the facilities team in monitoring tasks to ensure they are completed in line with Service Level specifications.
- Ensure a safe working environment, keeping work areas clean and tidy, reporting faulty equipment, and completing incident reports where required.
- Participate in ongoing training and development in conjunction with the Departmental Manager and Supervisor.
- Provide a comprehensive Helpdesk service to the Trust, Skanska, Medirest and HCP.
- Carry out duties in line with Departmental, Medirest, and Trust policies and procedures.
- Share relevant information, provide advice and assistance to team members.
