We’re seeking an experienced Domestic Services Manager to lead the delivery of high‑quality hospital cleaning services, ensuring full compliance with NHS Cleaning Standards, Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) requirements, and service KPIs. You’ll manage end‑to‑end domestic service delivery across the hospital, leading supervisors and frontline teams to maintain outstanding cleanliness standards, support clinical priorities, and deliver an excellent patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead domestic services in line with NHS standards, IPC protocols, and company policies
  • Maintain audit‑ready environments and lead internal/external inspections
  • Manage and develop supervisors and ward‑based teams
  • Promote a strong safety culture and manage incidents and corrective actions
  • Build effective relationships with matrons, ward managers, and facilities teams
  • Manage rotas, staffing levels, training compliance, and labour budgets
  • Drive continuous improvement using audits, feedback, and patient insight

About You

  • Strong operational management experience in hospital domestic services, housekeeping, or Soft FM
  • Strong working knowledge of NHS Cleaning Standards and IPC
  • Confident leader of large, diverse frontline teams
  • Organised, resilient, and calm in a fast‑paced clinical environment
  • Passionate about patient experience, safety, and service excellence
