We’re currently recruiting for an ambitious Apprentice Beerjet Technical Engineer to join our team and help deliver exceptional experiences for Levy on a full-time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.
As an apprentice Beerjet Technical Engineer, you will work alongside a passionate and supportive team, gaining hands-on experience while developing your skills through structured training. You will learn the full technical, mechanical, and operational aspects of Beerjet systems — from installation, setup, maintenance including on-site and remote troubleshooting. On completion of the Apprenticeship, you will achieve the Mechatronics maintenance technician L3 and become a qualified Mechatronics maintenance technician.
Beerjet is a cutting-edge draught beer dispensing system used at major events, arenas, and stadia around the UK&I. It’s designed for speed, consistency, and efficiency — capable of pouring multiple perfect beers in seconds. Beerjet systems work with venue partners to deliver a high-quality technical solution, customer service, and enhanced fan experience for large-scale live events.
This hands-on technical role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical problem-solving, working in fast-paced environments, remains calm under pressure and being part of a team that delivers amazing major events.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Assist in the positioning, installation, setup, and operator training of Beerjet systems at events and venues.
- Learn to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software-related faults.
- Support in the testing and quality control of equipment before and after events.
- Work with venues and the service tech team to schedule and perform routine maintenance, service and upkeep of Beerjet machines between events.
- Help with on-site operations, including system monitoring, keg management, and optimised operational performance.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and assist with risk assessments during event setup and breakdown.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, service reports, and inventory logs.
- Represent Beerjet professionally on-site with clients, partners, and venue teams.
- Assist with research and development initiatives in collaboration with potential new partners and stakeholders, evaluating prototype systems for future deployment.
Our Ideal Apprentice Will:
- Have electromechanical basics specific to Beerjet systems.
- Know how to read wiring diagrams, pneumatic pressure systems, and related technical documentation.
- Understand event logistics, layouts and equipment deployment.
- Be familiar with professional maintenance procedures and technical troubleshooting.
- Exhibit real world problem solving with time constraint pressure.
- Have an interest in engineering, mechanics, or electronics (college-level qualification desirable).
- Possess strong common sense, hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving.
- Demonstrate good communication skills that work well within a team.
- Be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Be willing to travel across the UK and Europe.
- Be reliable, proactive, and eager to learn.
