The Position
- Assist and oversee food production and menu-based catering for 102 residents in this modern aged care facility.
- Ensuring all OH&S compliance is achieved, adhere to safe work practices and safe food handling procedures.
- Ensure all catering controls are in place and wastage is kept to a minimum.
- Lead, mentor and create a positive work culture.
- Assist with rostering, ordering, stock control and other administrative duties related to a senior chef position.
The Person
- Minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery.
- Experience with cooking healthy and nutritious food in bulk quantities.
- Experience in HACCP, food safety and infection control.
- Aged care experience preferred/good understanding of IDDSI and the preparation of texture modified meals.
- Must be able to work autonomously across a 7 day rotating roster.
- Able to provide or obtain current National Police Check, influenza vaccinations and NDIS card.
