Organise and supervise the unit in accordance with Compass Group UK & Ireland standards, contract specifications and statutory regulations. Provide efficient and effective management, ensuring quality service, overseeing food preparation, cooking, service, resource usage, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and take a strategic approach to organising and managing the business through the team that report to you.
- Previous Contract Catering Experience.
- Communicate, motivate and guide effectively your management team and catering staff daily.
- Set clear operational responsibilities and monitor performance.
- Take overall responsibility for food and health and safety procedures in the catering department.
- Communicate regularly with the client as required.
- Complete action plans following customer satisfaction surveys.
- Promote the unit and act as a Compass Group Advocate at all times.
- Proven experience of managing internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all client hospitality is delivered to the agreed standard and seek feedback on food and service.
- Identify opportunities to enhance/develop the service and discuss with line manager.
- Bring innovation and flair.
- Operate to the agreed budget, monitor trends and identify corrective action when necessary.
- Ensure all customer requirements are delivered in line with expectations.
