We are seeking an experienced and credible Account Manager to lead a high-profile Total Facilities Management (TFM) contract based in Luton. The contract covers a broad range of services, including cleaning, security, catering and hard services, and plays a critical role in delivering a seamless workplace experience for our client. This is a highly visible, client-facing position and would suit someone who brings confidence, personality and strong leadership to everything they do. Someone who genuinely enjoys managing people and takes pride in delivering well-run, high-quality services. An interest in food and service culture will be a real advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership of the TFM contract, covering hard and soft FM services
- Act as the primary client contact, building effective relationships and managing escalations professionally
- Oversee performance against KPIs and SLAs, ensuring consistent delivery and continuous improvement
- Lead, engage and develop on-site teams and subcontractors, creating a positive and high-performing culture
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety, statutory and contractual requirements
- Manage financial performance, including budgets, forecasting and cost control
- Prepare and present performance reports and attend regular client review meetings
- Proactively identify opportunities for service enhancement, innovation and added value
Requirements
- Proven experience managing a cleaning and security contract within a facilities management environment
- Experience of working on TFM contracts, with exposure to catering and hard services highly desirable
- Several years' experience in an Account Manager or similar senior operational role
- Confident and credible in a client-facing position, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong people manager with the ability to motivate, support and challenge teams effectively
- Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets and P&L accountability
- Solid understanding of health & safety and compliance standards
- An interest in food and service delivery, with a genuine focus on quality and customer experience
- Relevant FM or technical qualifications (IOSH, NEBOSH, IWFM or similar) are desirable
