Role Overview
The Event Planning Manager supports the operational planning and coordination of conferences, exhibitions, and corporate events at the NEC, Birmingham. Working closely with the General Manager and wider Levy team, this role ensures events are planned efficiently, delivered to the highest standards, and provide exceptional guest experiences. The successful candidate will help manage planning processes, communicate with internal teams and clients, and play a key role in ensuring seamless handover to the delivery team. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organised, and passionate about delivering exceptional event experiences.
Qualifications
- Experience in event planning, coordination, or operations (venue, catering, or hospitality experience desirable).
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confident in working with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Basic financial awareness and understanding of budget control.
- A positive attitude, flexible approach, and a passion for teamwork.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with event planning tools is an advantage.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as required by the event schedule.
