Job Responsibilities:
- Banqueting Event Orders (BEOs) and attend operational meetings to ensure all event details are communicated effectively to the Operations team.
- Work closely with the Sales, Marketing and Operations teams to ensure successful event delivery.
- Monitor event budgets, review event performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Opportunity to attend venue showcase events and FAM Trips.
- Proactively follow up previous clients, lost enquiries and lapsed accounts to generate new business opportunities.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify opportunities that help Royal Armouries Conference & Events remain competitive and grow market share.
Who You Are:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in conference, banqueting and exhibition event planning.
- Proven experience managing multi-day, multi-track events with hundreds or thousands of attendees.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, able to prioritise multiple projects and consistently deliver to deadlines.
- Demonstrable experience of achieving KPIs and contributing to business growth through proactive account management and sales activity.
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing requirements.
- Comfortable using event management systems, CRM platforms and Microsoft Office, with the ability to analyse data and produce accurate reports.
- Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable event experiences.
- You’ll possess commercial awareness, constantly seeking new opportunities to generate revenue.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience working with Salesforce / Delphi.
- Familiarity with CAD software or floor planning tools.
