We're currently recruiting for an ambitious Apprentice Commis Chef to join our team and help deliver exceptional experiences for Southwick Park on a full-time basis contracted to 35 hours per week. As an apprentice Commis Chef, you will work alongside a passionate and supportive team, gaining hands‑on experience while developing your skills through structured training. No prior experience is required as full training will be provided as part of the apprenticeship! On completion of the Apprenticeship, you will achieve the L2 Commis Chef qualification and become a qualified Commis Chef. Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers.
- Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image.
- Monitoring inventories to keep our kitchens well‑stocked.
- Overseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards.
- Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations., As part of the application process, you will be required to complete a short eligibility questionnaire and participate in a screening call. This enables us to assess your eligibility for apprenticeship funding and ensure compliance with:
- Department for Education (DfE) and Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) requirements;
- Apprenticeship funding assurance requirements; and
- Applicable audit requirements.
- Following completion of the screening call, we will review the information you have provided against current apprenticeship funding rules and the requirements of the role to determine your eligibility for the apprenticeship programme. This is a mandatory stage of the application process and helps ensure that applicants meet the criteria required to undertake an apprenticeship.
