This role is based at a vibrant, high-footfall leisure and education venue offering interactive experiences and family-focused entertainment. The site sees strong seasonal demand, particularly during summer and weekends, serving a diverse mix of families, school groups, and corporate visitors.
The position is primarily daytime hours with weekend working required , and no evening or night shifts. Free on-site parking is provided.
In this role, you will oversee all catering and hospitality operations, ensuring high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. You will manage the contract, drive operational excellence, lead and develop your team, and ensure full compliance with all standards. You will also play a key role in enhancing the overall customer experience by aligning food and service with the dynamic nature of the venue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily catering and hospitality operations, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery in a busy leisure-focused environment
- Ensure full compliance with Compass policies, health & safety regulations, and food hygiene standards
- Drive financial performance through effective budgeting, forecasting, and profit & loss (P&L) management
- Manage and control costs across labour, food, waste, and overheads
- Develop staffing plans that reflect seasonal fluctuations and peak trading periods
- Lead, coach, and develop your team, supporting performance, engagement, and progression
- Foster a positive team culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and customer experience
- Build strong, proactive relationships with the client, ensuring expectations are consistently exceeded
- Deliver exceptional customer service, responding quickly to feedback and resolving issues effectively
- Support innovation in food offerings and service delivery, enhancing the overall visitor experience
- Lead change initiatives and continuous improvement projects aligned with the site’s growth
- Act as a Compass brand ambassador at all times
About You:
- Proven leadership experience in foodservice or hospitality management.
- Strong commercial awareness with solid budgeting and P&L management skills.

- Confident communicator with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
