They are now seeking a Tenancy Management Officer to help oversee and deliver an effective housing management function across their supported housing portfolio. This is a key role for someone who thrives on getting the details right, working collaboratively, and ensuring vulnerable people have secure, stable, and well-managed homes.
Key Responsibilities- Manage tenancy agreements across a diverse housing portfolio (owned and leased properties)
- Support new tenants with on-boarding, documentation, and benefit claims
- Proactively manage rent arrears, working with Housing Benefit teams and internal finance
- Advise tenants and operational teams on rights, responsibilities, and tenancy compliance
- Resolve tenancy-related disputes promptly and professionally
- Support annual rent reviews and negotiations with local authorities
- Ensure compliance with relevant housing legislation and sector standards
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to monthly reporting on arrears and tenancy performance
- Experience in housing management, ideally within supported housing, care, or third sector settings
- Strong working knowledge of Housing Benefit, exempt rents, and tenancy enforcement
- Highly organised and detail-focused, with confident communication skills
- Comfortable working across teams and dealing with external stakeholders (e.g., HB teams, landlords)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car for occasional site visits
- A people-focused, collaborative approach and a passion for supporting vulnerable communities
