This is a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of construction and facilities initiatives across a 60-bed private hospital in Bath, known for clinical excellence and strong leadership.
Overview
This is a high-impact interim opportunity for a hospital FM & construction specialist. Reporting directly to the Hospital Director, the Estates & Projects Manager will take immediate ownership of multiple live projects at varying stages of delivery. In addition to capital projects, the role will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations including PPM schedules, reactive maintenance, and compliance across all clinical spaces. You will manage a dedicated maintenance team and coordinate external contractors to ensure quality, timely delivery and regulatory adherence. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a hospital engineering specialist with a strong background in project engineering and healthcare construction. The ability to navigate complex live environments, deliver projects to CQC and HTM standards, and provide technical support to the wider senior team is essential.
Essential Criteria
- Professional qualification in Construction, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Strong experience managing estates and capital projects in a hospital setting
- Proven knowledge of building services and clinical compliance requirements
- Experience leading on-site teams and coordinating external contractors
- Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety and HTM regulations
- Able to take projects from late-stage design through to delivery and handover
