We are looking for a Part‑Time Family Support Worker for a 7‑bedroom Residential Family Assessment Centre in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire. The role requires commitment and dedication to providing high‑quality support to families and staff in line with OFSTED regulations and excellent safeguarding standards.

Responsibilities

  • As a Night Family Support Worker you will work within a multi‑disciplinary team to provide support to parent & child placements in a residential setting.
  • This highly trusted role requires sensitivity and excellent safeguarding awareness to monitor the safety of families and CCTV throughout the night.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years experience working in a Children’s Residential, Early Years or Children’s Social Care setting.
  • Level 3 – Health & Social Care (Child/Young People or Parent & Child).
  • Good knowledge and experience of safeguarding and working with complex families.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in complex or challenging situations with families.

Preferable skills and knowledge:

  • Experience of partnership working with families and external agencies, preferably in a safeguarding or looked‑after children’s team.
