About The Role

This role is ideal for experienced Residential Workers or Youth Workers, as well as those with no previous experience who are looking to build a career in residential care. We are looking for determined, caring and thoughtful people to become long‑lasting, significant adults in a child's life, and flexible hours, a bank support worker role with Compass could be for you.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is 22 years of age or above (to meet Ofsted regulations).
  • Is caring, compassionate and able to build positive relationships with others.
  • Has a valid manual driving licence.
  • Can remain calm in challenging situations.

Previous experience is not essential for this role. You will receive a comprehensive induction and ongoing training.

What will I do as Bank Support Worker?

  • Work closely with children and young people in care, putting them at the centre of everything you do.
  • Create positive relationships, meet their needs and always safeguard them.
  • Meet a variety of children and young people, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support.
  • Assist with the care of our children and young people, supporting them in all aspects of their lives including activities, hobbies and educational pursuits.
  • Consistency and organisation skills are key: create timetables, set boundaries and expectations for the children.
