We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual to work within our busy Family Finding Placements Team, which is an integral part of the Compass Community. On a day to day basis, you will be the first point of contact to review and clarify information on child referrals received from Local Authorities and discuss this in detail with our foster carers and social workers. You will be integral in supporting and co-ordinating the preparation of individual packages of care for children across fostering, education or therapeutic services.
Promote foster carers and the wider Compass Community services to customers – sending out regular updates whilst also maintaining active telephone communication and building positive customer relationships and responding to customer needs. Liaise with our commercial team and external commissioning teams in respect of negotiating funding and individual placement contract agreements. Data inputting to our systems, to assist with tracking and auditing and to help maintain quality and accurate data in the organisation.
Skills And Experience Required
- Good administration skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, carers and customers is essential for the role.
- Has a confident and positive ‘can do’ attitude whilst having the ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment with a high but manageable workload.
- Knowledge and understanding of placements / commissioning or experience of working in a customer service environment would be beneficial.
- Experience in using and maintaining databases and Microsoft Office programmes.
- Previous experience of working in a similar sector / environment would be desirable but is not essential.
This position may require the post-holder to occasionally work beyond office hours when the demands of the service require it and occasional travel. Please note this is a 12-month fixed term contract. The offered salary will be dependent on prior experience of the candidate.
